Shira Eytan, MD, FACE attended Rutgers University and graduated with honors. She then received her medical degree from Sackler School of Medicine at the Tel Aviv University-American Program. Her internship and residency training were completed in Internal Medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan and she then proceeded to complete her fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at Rutgers University-New Jersey Medical School.
Dr. Eytan has presented at multiple regional and national conferences including the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology and the Endocrine Society. Recently, she has been recognized by the Endocrine Society with an Outstanding Abstract award.
Specialization In General Endocrinology
Dr. Eytan is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. She is a member of the Endocrine Society and American Association of Clinical Endocrinology. Her specialization includes all aspects of general endocrinology. During her training, she focused extensively on thyroid disorders and malignancies, with experience in ultrasound and FNA procedures, and pituitary disorders including prolactinoma, Acromegaly, Cushing’s Disease, and hypopituitarism. She is also experienced in parathyroid disorders, adrenal disorders, bone disorders, Diabetes Mellitus, PCOS, and obesity.
Dr. Eytan believes in a patient-centric, whole-body approach to endocrine management.
